Unspoken truths about rape - why victims might say ”I liked it”

Disclaimer:
Rape, molestation or even disrespectful sexual encounters are unacceptable.
In this time and age, it isn't difficult to find a person who will pariticpate willingly so there should never be an excuse made for raping or molesting another person.
If you are a perpetrator, this show is not for you. You will likely be disappointed if you listen or watch. We are happy to do a show for you or perpetrators you know. If that's of interest, let us know and we'll put one together.
If you are a victim of rape, molestation or a disrespectful sexual encounter it is our hope that speaking to the reality of the experience will help you. However, we are aware that the truth alone is not always sufficient and we encourage you to have a support system in place before listening to this podcast. 
If you are one of the lucky people who have never been involved in or known anyone who struggled with being raped, this podcast may shatter your sense of safety so we recommend only listening if you have people to talk with after you listen. It might be helpful to listen as a group so you have space to process it right away. 
The content you are about to listen to speaks to the experience of sitting with many clients who have been victims of sexual abuse in many forms. We believe everyone should be aware of these realities and that this kind of truth needs to be openly discussed more often in order to reduce sexual abuse and the damage of sexual abuse one millions, if not billions, of people.
